#Russell Westbrook was selected 4th overall by the Seattle SuperSonics in the 2008 #NBA Draft, but his NBA debut came in an Oklahoma City Thunder jersey due to the Sonics relocating.
#Westbrook went on to play the next 11 seasons with the Thunder, making eight All-Star teams and setting multiple franchise and NBA records along the way. This past summer, Westbrook’s time in OKC came to an end when he was dealt to the Houston Rockets in a blockbuster deal that sent Chris Paul the other way.
On Thursday night, the 31-year-old point guard made his first trip back to Oklahoma City as a member of the Rockets and there was nothing but love for the Thunder’s all-time leader (excluding the Sonics days) in minutes played, points, rebounds, assists and steals leader.
