Police said in a citation Jones said, "Wait, I'm going get you and that (is) not a threat it's a promise."

Jones, 39, was booked into the Boone County Detention Center around 7:30 Monday morning. He is facing charges of alcohol intoxication, disorderly conduct and terroristic threatening, Captain Kevin Klute of the Boone County Jail said in an email.

The Airport Police Department is listed as the arresting agency.

According to jail records, Jones was released around 11 a.m. Monday after paying bond.

In a video outside the jail captured by WKRC-TV, Jones called the charges "bulls---".

In the video, Jones said he spoke to a flight attendant about dysfunctional charging plugs at the two seats he bought for the flight. He said he asked to move seats, and that's when he was told they would have to turn the plane around.

"Let's report the facts," he said in the video. "You say I'm drunk? I'm not (expletive) drunk."

"I'm going to stand for what I stand for which is respect, honesty, and I'm walking my walk," he said. "If I'm wrong I'm going to tell you I'm wrong."

What charges has Jones faced in Greater Cincinnati?

Jones has faced multiple charges in the Greater Cincinnati region in the past decade.

  • In 2021, Jones pleaded no contest to misdemeanor assault charges after punching and kicking a security guard at Clutch OTR, causing the guard to lose consciousness.

  • Jones pleaded guilty in 2019 to charges involving an incident at Rising Star Casino in Indiana, where he reportedly threatened to kill an Indiana Gaming Commission officer and struck or grabbed another public safety official.

  • In 2017, Jones was fined in court for obstructing public business after being arrested in a Downtown hotel following a verbal argument with police.

Jones was cornerback for the Bengals for eight seasons from 2010 to 2017.
